The Department of Management at Aarhus University, School of Business and Social Sciences, invites candidates to apply for a position as research assistant. The successful candidates are expected to take up the appointment from December 1, 2026, or according to an agreement.

The position is linked to the MAPP Centre, which conducts research on value creation in the food sector. The MAPP Centre is a world-class research Centre working with questions on consumer behaviour in relation to food and beverages as well as the implications of insight into consumer behaviour for both industry and public policy

The research assistant will perform tasks in relation to a number of externally funded research projects, which will be linked to questions of consumer behaviour in the food and beverages area. This will include design, execution, and reporting of both qualitative and quantitative studies in collaboration with senior researchers.

Hours per week: 37

The minimum length of employment as research assistant will be 1 year. The maximum length of employment as research assistant is three years.

Qualification requirements

The qualification requirement for appointment as a research assistant is a master’s degree in social or behavioural sciences, preferably in marketing, economics, psychology, or sociology. Applicants with working knowledge of analysing data using both qualitative and quantitative methods are desired. Applicants are expected to understand certain qualitative and statistical software (e.g. NVivo, SPSS, Stata). Experience with data modelling is a bonus. Good verbal and written communication skills, especially in Danish, will also be valued.

The appointment is made in accordance with the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff at Danish Universities as well as the circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics Employed by the State (in Danish).
