Project Engineer – 12-Month Maternity Cover
Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Project Engineer to join our Investment Department at Nordic & Baltic on a 12-month maternity cover.
This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working on high-impact industrial investment projects as part of a professional and collaborative team. During the 12-month period, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and technical specialists, gaining hands-on experience in project development, technical evaluations, and on-site implementation.
**Your role
**As Project Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for planning and executing strategic investment projects across our sites. You will support the development and implementation of projects from early-stage feasibility through to execution and handover.
This position is ideal for someone with a mechanical engineering background who is eager to develop their project management skills and gain experience in an industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
Support the planning, budgeting, and execution of industrial investment projects
Participate in feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, and external suppliers
Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget
Contribute to the continuous development of investment project tools and processes
Support operational activities within the Investment Department
Assist Project Managers with coordination and follow-up of project activities
Support implementation and follow-up at project sites when required
What we’re looking for
A degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
1–3 years of relevant experience, for example in project engineering, site engineering/management, maintenance, or production
An interest in industrial plants, technical investment projects, and project management
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset
Good communication skills in English; Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
A structured and collaborative approach to your work
Willingness to travel occasionally to our project sites if needed
