YOUR TASKS:

• You develop, maintain, and expand our central software module for production and capacity planning for customers in the flat glass industry
• Your code answers the question: Is our customer able to complete their production orders on time?
• To achieve this, you develop optimization algorithms for manufacturing processes, taking into account machine utilization, shift and working time models, personnel restrictions, capacity limits, and cost factors
• You implement functions for automatic load distribution, bottleneck analysis, and schedule calculation to proactively provide production planners with decision-making and action options
• You are responsible for software development throughout the entire lifecycle – from functional specification to implementation, testing, and code reviews, through to build, deployment, and documentation processes
• In an agile development environment, you work closely with Product Owners, Product Management, Project Planning, and customers
• You evaluate new technologies and architectures, integrate them specifically into the system landscape, and share your knowledge within the development team

YOUR PROFILE:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar course of study, alternatively completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung
• You bring at least 3 years of sound professional experience in software development with C# and .NET
• Experience with C++, SQL databases, and frontend technologies such as WinForms or WPF is a plus, but not a must
• Agile development methods and modern technologies make your heart beat faster
• Algorithms, optimization methods, and routing logics spark your ambition to map complex production planning processes via software
• You can get enthusiastic about topics such as network planning techniques, graph theory, or machine restrictions
• You love to see what your code achieves: the software you develop does not run in a vacuum, but controls production processes with actual output
• You move confidently in an international environment and communicate proficiently in English
