Project Coordinator
Job Description
Develops and implements programs to ensure ecological protection and human welfare, especially for local communities. Supports the development of programs that offer additional livelihoods to local communities. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. Conducts projects and prepares studies and reports. Develops concept notes and funding proposals. Provides training to field staff members to implement projects. Develops and maintains partnerships with national and international institutions. Performs any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification and Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management, Geography, Environmental Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree with specialized experience in environmental sciences, environmental economics/management, environment and natural resources in similar organization/s, could be an advantage. Females are particularly encouraged to apply. Working knowledge of initiatives on Marine and Coastal Ecosystems, Climate Change, Community Livelihoods, Stakeholder Engagement and Management would also be an advantage. Technical competencies - innovative, analytical skills. excellent management, leadership and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, report writing, and computer skills.
