Your tasks

• Develop a thorough understanding the company products, floral designs, product specifications, and brand standards.
• Consult with clients to understand their preferences, requirements, and budgets, providing suitable recommendations on floral arrangements, flower selection, and pricing.
• Confirm order details, including delivery dates, times, locations, and any specific client requests, ensuring accurate communication with the store team.
• Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets, and other floral products according to client requirements and the company’s design standards.
• Select suitable flowers, foliage, and complementary materials to create arrangements that meet the required design, quality, and presentation standards.
• Prepare flowers and foliage for use by cutting, cleaning, conditioning, and storing them appropriately to maintain freshness and quality.
• Receive and unpack flower deliveries, inspect the quality and condition of incoming stock, and report any damaged or unsuitable products to the store manager.
• Use floristry tools, materials, and equipment correctly and safely to prepare and assemble floral arrangements.
• Monitor flower and material inventory, report shortages or quality concerns promptly, and support stock replenishment planning.
• Maintain the quality, freshness, and presentation of flowers and finished arrangements throughout the working day.
• Advise clients on the appropriate care, handling, and maintenance of flowers and floral products.
• Assist with floral decorations and installations for weddings, private celebrations, corporate functions, and other events, as required.
• Support the preparation and updating of in-store and window displays in accordance with the instructions of the Head Florist and Store Manager.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented work area, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned by the line manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in floristry, with practical knowledge of flower preparation, care, and arrangement techniques.
• Ability to create floral arrangements using appropriate floristry tools, materials, and techniques.
• Strong creativity, artistic ability, and an excellent eye for colour, composition, proportion, and detail.
• Understanding of different flower varieties, seasonal availability, and flower-care requirements.
• Ability to follow established design guidelines while adapting arrangements to meet individual client requirements.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a professional and courteous approach.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities within deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from the Head Florist and Store Manager.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation.
