Developer : AML / KYC systems

Your tasks

We are looking for a motivated Developer to join our team in developing and maintaining Python-based applications that support banking operations, process automation and AML/KYC systems.

You will work closely with senior developers, business analysts and project teams to deliver reliable software solutions while gaining exposure to banking technology and regulatory compliance systems.

• Assist in gathering business and technical requirements, documenting and developing software solutions.
• Develop, enhance and maintain Python-based applications for banking process automation.
• Support frontend development using React, CSS and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain backend services, REST APIs and database queries.
• Assist in system integration, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Perform unit testing, debugging and application maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Support system deployment, release activities and technical documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and established software development processes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 1–5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Basic to good knowledge of Python programming and Django frameworks.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend application development.
• Knowledge of SQL databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and Shell Scripting is an advantage.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging and unit testing.
• Familiarity with Git or other source control tools.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a banking technology environment.

Good to Have

• Exposure to AML/KYC systems, financial services or banking applications.
• Knowledge of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening or regulatory compliance systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices and automated testing.
• Exposure to platforms such as NICE Actimize, SAS AML or Verafin.
