Mechanical Design Engineer
Your tasks
- Design various types of Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear panels, including Ring Main Units (RMUs), distribution panels, and transformer kiosks.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and execution drawings for all panel components, specifying materials and dimensions.
- Prepare technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for products and projects.
- Calculate material requirements, manufacturing costs, and production lead times.
- Supervise the fabrication and implementation of prototypes and finished products.
- Modify and update designs according to customer requirements and project specifications.
- Conduct studies to improve manufacturing processes, optimize material utilization, and reduce material waste.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in mechanical design of Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear panels.
- Advanced proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, engineering drawings, material specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in preparing technical documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to perform material calculations, estimate manufacturing costs, and optimize material utilization.
- Experience in prototype development, design modifications, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
