Business Operations Specialist
About the company
We build software for businesses and organisations that need better operational structure. Our product helps teams manage the day-to-day work behind their businesses: customers, sales, finances, approvals, inventory, tasks, production, and internal records.
390 Work supports different parts of a business, including sales, finance, customers, inventory, approvals, HR, operations, production and internal records. Because every business operates differently, showing the product is not enough. Someone must understand the business, connect its needs to the right parts of 390, and explain how to use the product in practice.
Your tasks
We are looking for someone who can help our customers move beyond simply accessing 390 and begin using it meaningfully across their operations.
We are hiring a Business Operations Specialist to help businesses understand how to use 390 Work to run their operations effectively.
That will be the Business Operations Specialist's responsibility.
How You will work with prospective and existing customers to understand how their businesses operate and show them how 390 can support their work.
You will conduct discovery sessions, prepare relevant product demonstrations, guide businesses through onboarding, and help existing customers use the product more effectively.
This is not a conventional sales, customer-support, or software-training role. It combines product knowledge, business-process understanding, consultation and customer education.
The day-to-day
- Conduct discovery sessions with prospective customers to understand their businesses, teams, workflows and operational challenges.
- Determine which areas of 390 are relevant to each business.
- Prepare demos around the prospect’s actual requirements instead of giving the same general demonstration to everyone.
- Conduct complete and department-specific product demonstrations.
- Explain how different teams and employees can use 390 in their everyday work.
- Answer product and workflow questions during the sales process.
- Document customer requirements, questions, objections and implementation considerations.
- Help new customers decide which parts of 390 to introduce first.
- Support customer onboarding, configuration, training and implementation.
- Train business owners, administrators, managers and employees on how to use the product.
- Help customers establish practical workflows for areas such as approvals, expenses, sales, inventory, tasks, customer management and reporting.
- Review how existing customers are using 390 and identify important capabilities they have not adopted.
- Conduct refresher sessions and introduce relevant modules to additional departments.
- Help businesses add the right employees and responsibilities to their 390 accounts.
- Create simple training materials, guides and demonstration environments.
- Share recurring customer needs, usability problems and product gaps with the product team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of 390 as the product develops.
What the 'win' is
- Prospects leave demos understanding how 390 applies to their businesses.
- Demos reflect the prospect’s real requirements.
- New customers know what to implement first and how to begin.
- Employees understand their responsibilities within 390.
- Customers reach useful operational outcomes after onboarding.
- Existing customers adopt more of the relevant capabilities available to them.
- More departments and employees become active users.
- Customer feedback reaches the product team in a clear and useful form.
Requirements
A successful person in this role should be able to speak with a business owner or department lead, understand their current process, and clearly explain how 390 could manage it.
What you should have
- Experience in product implementation, business operations, solutions consulting, business analysis, customer success, software training or a related role.
- The ability to understand how a business operates across different departments.

- Confidence conducting meetings with business owners, executives, managers and employees.
- The ability to ask good questions and uncover what a customer actually needs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to document requirements properly.
- The ability to learn a broad product and understand how its different parts connect.
- Good judgement when recommending workflows and implementation priorities.
- Comfort working with businesses from different industries.
- The ability to conduct both one-to-one and group training sessions.
- Strong written and spoken English.

Who you should be
