Education:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience.

Work site environment:

Beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots. Outdoors. Wheat farming. At heights. Confined spaces. Dangerous. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Grain, oil and forage crop. All weather conditions. Dirty.

Work setting:

Rural area. Remote location.

Tasks:

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas.
• Diagnose livestock health issues.
• Direct farm feed inventory activities .
• Handling animals.
• Perform livestock feeding.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting.
• Maintain livestock performance records.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens.
• Maintain work records and logs.
• Perform general farm duties.
