About the position In Honza Hovorka's ten-member team, we are looking for an Electronic Engineer who will take care of our existing HW products - those that are being manufactured and sold around the world right now. In the team, you will find experienced colleagues who know the existing products in detail and will be happy to introduce you to them. You will not be developing new products from scratch. Your domain will be a portfolio that is already alive: keeping it manufacturable, reliable, and available. When a component's production ends, you look for an alternative with your colleagues. When a problem arises from production, you sit down with a soldering iron and an oscilloscope and fix it. And your findings will propagate further - perhaps into the redesign of another line of intercoms.
What you will be doing here You will be responsible for the measurement, commissioning, and validation of assigned products - from functional and temperature tests to ESD and EMC. Soldering, desoldering, and working with measuring equipment are part of it; it is a hands-on role You will design (in Altium Design) PCBs, perform changes, and add new components to shared libraries You will participate in searching for alternative electronic components and work with purchasing to resolve their availability (EOL, obsolescence) You will participate in the redesign of existing products - your changes will also be reflected in other lines of intercoms You will get involved in the preparation and issuance of manufacturing documentation and will be part of the team that leads technical Change Management You will cooperate with EMS manufacturers when introducing changes to production You will be in contact with development, industrialization, quality, and purchasing - communication is half the success here You will help increase the reliability and manufacturing efficiency of our products
What we need At least 3 years of experience in the development of the electro/HW area Manual dexterity - soldering and desoldering, working with measuring equipment and test assemblies are not foreign to you The ability to drive solutions to completion and communicate across teams A desire to use AI and digital tools English at a communicative level Driving license group B – occasional visits to laboratories await you
What is good to have, but not a requirement Experience with PCB design in some EDA tool (Altium, PADS, KiCad, Cadence, OrCAD, Zuken…) and a desire to potentially learn Altium Designer, which we use Experience with EMC and the certification process
