Electronic and Electrical Design Technician (M/F)

The Position

As a key member of our human-sized R&D team, you will contribute to exciting projects and have the opportunity to design cutting-edge electronic boards dedicated to integration into our computer servers. Within our structure, you will have the chance to manage the entire lifecycle of your designs: from component selection to validation testing, including schematic design and routing. You will work with software tools such as Siemens Xpedition PCB. Your expertise in electronics will guide your technical decisions.

Your Responsibilities

Within the R&D electronics division, you will be involved in:

• Architectural design and component selection
• Creation of electronic schematics and performing simulations
• Collaboration with mechanical engineers for integration and compliance with board layout constraints
• Creation of electronic schematics and performing simulations (SPICE or Siemens/HyperLynx tools) to validate the robustness of your designs prior to routing
• Routing of HDI circuits while preserving high-speed signal integrity (PCIe, DDR,...)
• Preparation of manufacturing documentation and design files
• Writing test documents with assistance in prototyping, debugging, and executing validation tests
• Specification of software architecture or programming of CPLD, FPGA, microcontrollers, and others
• Support for teams and cross-functional activities

Required Skills

• Mastery of analog and digital electronics
• Knowledge of power distribution architectures
• Initial approach or strong willingness to learn high-speed signal routing and conditioning (PCIe bus, Ram,...)
• Knowledge of inter-component communication buses (I2C, PMBus, SPI,...)

Complementary Skills

• Knowledge of computer hardware (server architecture)
• Networking expertise (switching, routing, STP, VLAN, etc.)
• Knowledge of low-level details of the PCIe bus architecture is a plus

Ideal Profile

• You hold a Master's degree (Bac+5) in electronics
• Ideally, you have 5 years of experience in equivalent technical environments.
• You are curious, meticulous, and organized.
• You are proficient in understanding and expressing yourself in English
• Your analytical skills and curiosity drive you to stay informed about technical innovations and regulations.
• Skills in sizing, integration, and mechatronics are an additional asset.
