Technical Lead (Solution Architect | Python | SQL | AWS)

Join our team and support us in integrating a global SaaS platform with corporate IT research infrastructure. The team is responsible for ensuring a reliable and secure flow of laboratory data in a 24/7 environment, supporting research centers in, among others, Denmark, China, and the USA.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead who can combine the competencies of a Solution Architect with practical engineering work (hands-on engineering).

About the project:

The platform being created supports global management of laboratory research data and consists of three main elements:

1. External SaaS product – used for data collection.
2. Cloud Services – a brokerage layer responsible for data exchange between the SaaS solution, providers, and data recipients.
3. Study Animal Data Platform – a database storing data and feeding downstream systems.

Key is experience in the architecture of integrating SaaS solutions with internal systems.

Start: ASAP (we accept candidates with a max 1-month availability to start)

Rate (determined individually):155 - 170 PLN net + VAT / h*

Engagement: B2B (outsourcing via 1dea), full-time, long-term (12msc+)

Daily tasks

• Architecture design: Creating secure, compliant, and reliable integration concepts between the SaaS solution, cloud services, the data platform, and downstream systems.
• Technical leadership: Supporting the development team, collaborating with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to deliver optimal technological solutions.
• Engineering work (Hands-on): Programming in Python and working with databases (PostgreSQL, PL/SQL).
• Integrations and data flow: Designing and verifying integrations using messaging queues and appropriate data architecture patterns (including handling laboratory devices and processes).
• Data migration: Assessing and coordinating the data migration process from legacy systems to the new platform.
• Development and support: Conducting Proof of Concept (PoC) work, solving technical problems, performing Code Review, and ensuring continuous process improvement (using GitHub and Agile methodologies).

Requirements

• Solution Architecture: Strong experience in requirements analysis, architecture design, and integrating SaaS products with corporate systems.
• AWS Cloud: Very good knowledge of AWS and experience in designing cloud solutions.
• Development & Data: Practical experience in programming in Python and strong database/data engineering competencies (PostgreSQL, PL/SQL).
• Integrations: Practical knowledge of message buses/queues, data flows, and system-to-system integrations.
• Compliance & Security: Understanding of principles for designing secure and compliant solutions in regulated environments.
• Tools and methodology: Experience working with GitHub and in Agile methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
• Soft skills: Independence, analytical and systemic thinking, the ability to translate complex requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Foreign languages: Fluency in English, both spoken and written (at a level enabling smooth collaboration in an international team).
