Senior QA Engineer - AI & Automation

Join an international project as a Senior QA Automation Engineer. This is a role for someone who combines very good automation competencies with experience in testing API, data, and modern AI/GenAI solutions.

Engagement terms:

Location: 100% remote Start: ASAP (we accept candidates with a max 1-month notice period) Rate (determined individually): 130 - 155 PLN net / h Engagement: B2B (outsourcing via 1dea), full-time, long-term

Daily tasks

• Comprehensive end-to-end quality assurance of the solution, from requirements review to QA/UAT sign-off.
• Designing and executing manual, functional, exploratory, and automated tests.
• Creating and developing test automation using Playwright, as well as pytest, Robot Framework, or Selenium.
• Preparing and executing API tests using tools such as Postman or curl.
• Validating data quality and consistency between the UI layer and the backend, including using SQL.
• Developing automation strategies and selecting the appropriate level of automation based on business requirements and project constraints.
• Maintaining and developing tests in a CI/CD environment, working with GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Analyzing, reporting, and retesting defects, as well as monitoring solution quality.
• Collaborating with development, business, and QA teams in an international, multicultural environment.
• Utilizing AI/GenAI tools in the QA process, e.g., for generating test cases, defect analysis, regression, and optimizing test coverage.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in the QA / Software Testing area, including Senior-level experience. Very good practical knowledge of test automation. Practical experience with Playwright. Knowledge of pytest / Robot Framework / Selenium. Experience in API, E2E, and manual testing. Good knowledge of SQL and UI vs backend data validation. Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, and Azure DevOps. ISTQB Foundation or higher. Experience working with AI/GenAI in QA, e.g., Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools. Knowledge of testing RAG / GenAI / AI assistants. Ability to work independently, proactivity, and readiness for mentoring. English min. B2.
