QA Lead - Data, ETL & AI Testing

Join a project to build a modern data platform and take on the role of QA Lead, who will be responsible for the quality of ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and analytical solutions. We are looking for someone who can combine technical knowledge with experience in managing a QA team and conducting end-to-end testing in an Agile environment.

Engagement terms:

Location: 100% remote Start: ASAP (we accept candidates with a max 1-month notice period) Rate (determined individually): 145 - 175 PLN net / h Engagement: B2B (outsourcing via 1dea), full-time, long-term

Daily tasks

• Creating and implementing test strategies for ETL/ELT processes and subsequent releases.
• Planning and coordinating functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, performance, and automated tests.
• Managing the QA team's work, sprint planning, and task prioritization.
• Validating data quality at every stage of the pipeline - from the source, through transformations and the Common Data Model, to data publication.
• Verifying source-to-target mappings, transformations, and data compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating test data preparation, defect analysis, RCA, and recommending deployment readiness.
• Close cooperation with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and the business.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in software testing, including 5+ years in a QA Lead or Test Manager role. Experience in conducting ETL / Data Testing in Agile environments. Very good knowledge of SQL and data quality testing. Practical knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark/PySpark. Experience with Python, PyTest, REST API, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of topics related to Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, data reconciliation, and data lineage. Ability to work with stakeholders and lead teams in large-scale projects. English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
