About the role Mind Edge Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company specializing in industrial products and services for the mining sector. The Mining Engineer will support mine planning, project evaluation and mining operations. This position involves both technical work at the Bangkok head office and on-site assignments at projects in other provinces. The successful candidate should be flexible, willing to travel and able to work according to the timeline of each project.

Key responsibilities

-Conduct technical studies and pilot trials involving new mine planning and mining operation methodologies. -Research and apply advanced mine planning tools, systems and techniques to mining operations. -Develop and update short-term, long-term and Life of Mine plans. -Perform pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for mining projects. -Provide technical support for due diligence, project evaluation and risk assessment. -Support Business Development teams with technical information and project analysis. -Implement Mine Planning and Mine Operation best practices at project sites. -Establish and support Mining Quality Assurance programs to improve operational performance. -Coordinate with project teams to update individual mine-site plans. -Conduct strategic optimization studies covering both technical and non-technical constraints. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering Approximately 2 years of experience in coal mining, quarrying, mineral operations or related mining businesses Good knowledge of Mine Planning and Mine Operation principles Experience with mining software such as Surpac, Minescape, Vulcan, Datamine, Micromine or similar software is preferred Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Valid driving licence and ability to drive a car Willing and able to travel and work at project sites in other provinces Able to work on Saturdays during on-site project assignments Strong analytical, strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills Good interpersonal, communication and coordination skills
