International Assembly Fitter

As an international assembly fitter, you are responsible for the mechanical installation and assembly of our generator sets at project locations both domestically and abroad. You work on complete emergency power installations and ensure that every installation is constructed safely, accurately, and according to schedule. Your activities take place on-site at the customer's location, but when you are not on a project, you support the assembly of generator sets at our production location in IJmuiden. Your activities include: Placing and assembling generator sets and containers.

Installing cooling water, ventilation, exhaust gas, and exhaust systems.

Assembling piping, frames, and other mechanical parts.

Performing and supervising lifting activities using, among others, overhead cranes, forklifts, and aerial work platforms.

Reading and working according to technical drawings and assembly instructions.

MIG and TIG welding on steel and stainless steel (where necessary).

Preparing work activities and checking whether all necessary materials are present.

Identifying deviations or points for improvement and coordinating these with the Assembly Coordinator or Project Manager.

Recording performed activities through reports, photos, and checklists.

Working safely according to the applicable VCA guidelines, LMRA methodology, and quality standards.

No project is the same. You work at diverse locations, under different circumstances, and together with colleagues, customers, and subcontractors on installations that make a difference worldwide.

You are a practical technician who likes to roll up your sleeves. You work independently when necessary, but feel just as at home in a close-knit team. You think ahead, work accurately, and remain calm when the schedule changes. In addition, you possess: A completed mbo-3 education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.

Experience with mechanical assembly or machine building.

Experience with piping and construction work.

Welding experience is a plus.

The ability to read technical drawings.

A proactive work attitude and an eye for quality and safety.

Willingness to work regularly abroad (70%).

Driving license B (BE is a plus).

A VCA-VOL certificate or willingness to obtain one.
