Job Purpose

The Human Resources Specialist reports to the Human Resources Manager of Honduras and provides comprehensive support to the area's processes to ensure an efficient and high-quality experience for collaborators. Main Responsibilities

Human Resources Administration

  • Keep collaborator information up to date and accurate in the Human Resources system (HRIS) and other platforms used.
  • Administer and safeguard physical and electronic personnel files, guaranteeing information confidentiality.
  • Support benefits administration (IHSS, RAP, INFOP, insurance, and other applicable programs).
  • Follow up on vacations, leaves, disabilities, absences, and other personnel movements.
  • Prepare reports and indicators related to Human Resources, time control, and payroll.
  • Manage independent contractor agreements and follow up on their expiration dates.
  • Keep Human Resources area procedures and documentation up to date.
  • Provide attention and support to collaborators regarding Human Resources inquiries.
  • Support labor relations issues and other area initiatives.
  • Execute projects and other responsibilities assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

Recruitment and Selection

  • Support the preparation and updating of job descriptions.
  • Post and manage vacancies on the Water Mission careers page and other employment platforms.
  • Review applications, verify minimum requirements, and prepare candidate shortlists.
  • Conduct telephone pre-selection interviews when appropriate.
  • Coordinate in-person and virtual interviews with candidates and selection panels.
  • Receive and guide candidates during in-person processes.
  • Manage employment reference verification and required documentation.
  • Keep candidate information up to date in the recruitment system.
  • Support onboarding activities and the closing of selection processes.

Requirements

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Between 3 and 4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in non-profit organizations or ministries.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (indispensable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Human Resources information systems (HRIS).
