For our headquarters in Hamburg, we are looking for you as Head of SAP Platform & Architecture (Human) at the earliest possible date.
The SAP platform forms the digital backbone of many central business processes at VTG. With the successful migration to SAP S/4HANA, the introduction of SAP SuccessFactors, and the further development of our Operating Model, we have created important foundations for the future.
In the next step, the strategic further development of our SAP platform will be the focus. The goal of this role is to consistently align the SAP landscape with corporate objectives, unlock transformation potentials, and further develop the platform as an enabler for standardization, digitalization, data usage, automation, and AI.
Which tasks will you undertake?
Functional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of the SAP team
Promotion of ownership, taking responsibility, and a high-performance team culture
Development and implementation of the strategic roadmap for the SAP platform
Design of the future SAP target architecture together with Enterprise Architecture and the business departments
Long-term further development of the SAP platform as a business enabler for VTG
Implementation of the IT and digitalization strategy within the SAP ecosystem
Promotion of standardization, automation, and innovation through the use of modern SAP, data, and AI technologies
Initiation and support of strategic transformation and digitalization initiatives
Strategic management of technology partners and service providers in the SAP ecosystem
Close cooperation with Enterprise Architecture, Product Management, Delivery Management, Data & Analytics, as well as the business departments
Which qualifications do you bring?
Completed studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
Relevant leadership experience in the environment of SAP and Enterprise Applications, as well as the competence to develop people, shape changes, and build high-performance teams
Demonstrable experience in the development and implementation of platform, technology, or transformation strategies
Sound knowledge of SAP S/4HANA as well as modern SAP technologies and platform concepts
Experience in Enterprise Architecture, platform governance, and the development of target architectures
Good understanding of business processes and of SAP as a business platform
Experience in managing strategic partners, service providers, and international supply organizations
Strategic and at the same time pragmatic way of working, as well as the competence to provide orientation in change processes and to win people over for common goals
Stakeholder and leadership competence, as well as the competence to bring Business, Enterprise Architecture, and IT together into a common vision
Understanding of standardization, automation, and innovation potentials, as well as the competence to implement these together with Business and IT
Very good communication skills, including in English
