Powertrain Application Analyst

And in 2023, we started South American operations, with our first headquarters in Brazil.Responsibilities and assignmentsMonitor development, certification, homologation, application, and report issuance tests for the systems under responsibility;Plan, execute, and analyze objective measurements and subjective evaluations of performance, comfort, noise, vibration, efforts, pressure, temperature, flow, pressure drop, gallonage, and vehicle performance;Validate Cooling, Fuel/ARLA, Air Intake, Cardan, Clutch/Actuators, and Transmission systems, considering design requirements, application, standards, VW guidelines, life cycle, and engineering/quality criteria;Analyze the static and dynamic influence of systems on the overall behavior of the vehicle, engine, transmission, aftertreatment, performance, comfort, and drivability;Support internal and external tests and product homologation, analyze results, and recommend design revisions or corrective actions according to approval criteria;Evaluate parts and vehicles in real applications, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, mass, complexity, and increased robustness;Act in problem analysis and resolution using KPM, DMU, ECL, Streifenliste, Beschwerdenliste, and Schwerpunktliste methodologies;Support manufacturing, quality, finance, purchasing, logistics, technical assistance, full vehicle engineering, Pilot Plant, prototypes, and launching with technical information and validation evidence;Contribute to activity planning according to milestones, nationalization/global sourcing, innovation, new technologies, environmental requirements, and integrated policy.Requirements and qualificationsEducation:Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics, Production, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related areas.Other specializations:Desirable in Mechanical, Automotive, Production, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, Project Management, or Business Management.Knowledge of hybrid/electric vehicles, vehicle dynamics, automotive mechanics, failure analysis, vehicle testing, instrumentation, data acquisition, cooling, fuel/ARLA, intake, transmission, clutch, and cardan.
