As Manager DXL Service Management (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for the operation of the mission-critical microservice middleware platform DXL - the digital backbone of numerous Vodafone applications. In doing so, you will actively shape the technical roadmap, manage budgets, licenses, and security measures, and work together with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure secure, high-performance, and future-proof platform operations.   • As Manager DXL Service Management (m/f/d), you will take functional responsibility for the operation of the microservice middleware platform "DXL".
  • You are responsible for the strategic further development of the microservice platform in terms of tools used for monitoring, alarming, logging, and security, as well as the planning and monitoring of the budget for application operations and thus its cost control and optimization, as well as license management.
  • You manage change, release, and incident processes in close cooperation with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams, coordinate internal and external resources as well as service providers, and ensure compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
  • You are responsible for the implementation of cyber security measures, including security assessments and audit preparations, and you document and maintain application data in system inventory systems (ALFABET).
  • You ensure the smooth, secure, and high-performance operation of mission-critical applications and monitor maintenance and troubleshooting in cooperation with Application Operations teams.
  • You work closely with business units, project managers, and Enterprise Architecture to translate requirements into sustainable solutions.

What distinguishes you:

  • Successfully completed (technical) university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or natural sciences, or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in IT - ideally in Application Operations, Service Management, and/or software application development of a cloud-native microservice application platform in a corporate environment.
  • Several years of experience in collaborating with and managing external solution partners, as well as sound knowledge of ITIL, Service Management, Lifecycle Management, and Cyber Security.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate cross-hierarchical and/or international project teams, as well as strong communication skills at working and management levels.
  • Structured, solution-oriented way of working and high degree of personal responsibility, as well as above-average skills in methodological, social, and leadership competencies.
  • Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing (C1 according to GER).

This position can be held full-time or near full-time part-time (at least 30 hours).
