Your tasks:
- Conducting a doctoral research project in the field of cardiac regeneration with a translational focus
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating *in vivo* and *in vitro* studies
- Use and application of animal models (particularly mice), including microsurgical procedures, functional analyses, and tissue collection
- Isolation, culture, and functional characterization of primary cells
- Application of modern methods in molecular biology, cell biology, and histology
- Analysis of high-dimensional datasets (e.g., scRNA-Seq) and bioinformatic evaluation
- Interpretation of experimental data in the context of translational research questions
- Contribution to the preparation of scientific publications and presentation of results at national and international conferences
- Assistance in mentoring students and in establishing new methods
Your profile:
- A completed scientific university degree (Diplom or Master) in biology, biochemistry, molecular medicine, life sciences, or a comparable biomedical field of study
- In-depth knowledge in the fields of molecular biology, immunology, and/or systems biology
- Experience in animal experimentation, including handling laboratory animals, performing surgical procedures, and injection techniques
- Practical experience with standard and advanced molecular and cell biology methods
- Knowledge of bioinformatics and statistical data analysis is a plus
- Very good written and spoken English skills
- Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and in a structured manner, as well as a high degree of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team
