Within the framework of the Research Alliance Ruhr, the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security bundles the expertise of its universities to bridge the gaps between the fields of Psychology and Social Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science and statistical learning, as well as Cybersecurity and Data Protection. The Young Investigator Groups “Psychological aspects of human-algorithm interaction” and “Human Factors in AI Systems” are advertising this position, which is located within the BMFTR-funded project “Data protection and employee interests in AI-as-a-Service systems” (**DAISY).

Your Key Responsibilities

Your spectrum of tasks includes participation in the DAISY project. The particular focus of the work lies, on the one hand, on the recording of mental models of AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) systems by employees, systematic literature review, as well as the creation of appropriate measures to elicit accurate mental models.

The activity offers the opportunity for a doctorate.

Your Profile

You have completed a university degree of at least 8 semesters of standard study time in the subject of Psychology or a comparable subject with above-average success. You possess very good knowledge of empirical research methods, especially qualitative and statistical analyses. Since we work in internationally composed teams and aim for high-ranking international publications, very good English skills (oral and written) are required.
