Performance Testing Lead

As Performance Testing Lead, you will help set the lines for performance and load testing standards within our Quality Assurance (QA) strategy. You ensure that teams use the right approach, tools, and reporting, and that non-functional requirements (scalability, stability, response times) are secured from design to release. In this way, you help delivery teams to detect risks early and deliver performant results, today and in the future.

Your responsibilities as Performance Testing Lead:

• You develop and implement the performance testing strategy (as part of the QA strategy) and translate it into clear standards and guidelines for teams.
• You ensure that software and applications meet non-functional requirements (including performance, reliability, capacity, and stability) and identify risks and bottlenecks for load and performance activities, anchoring them in the SDLC process.
• You monitor the quality standards and expectations from the Central Performance Testing team and work closely with business, functional, implementation, and operational teams as well as external partners.
• You ensure that the right tools, processes, and reporting are applied and continuously improve them.
• You organize tracking and follow-up (issues/bugs, trends, improvement actions) and create a continuous feedback loop to the delivery teams based on load and performance results.
• You monitor all load and performance activities of the Central Performance Testing team and challenge estimates, scope, and approach where necessary.
• You manage and prioritize the backlog of central performance testing activities and coordinate with stakeholders.
• You initiate continuous improvements and provide technical support for process optimization and maturity growth of load and performance testing.

Your profile as Performance Testing Lead:

• You have a strong technical foundation with a focus on IT applications, methodologies, and (preferably) telecom products.
• You have experience with test methodologies and demonstrable expertise in load and performance testing.
• You feel at home in an agile environment and collaborate smoothly across teams.
• You are curious, love to learn, and keep up with evolving technologies and best practices.
• You communicate clearly and build bridges between business, IT teams, and external partners.
• You speak fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• You have a bachelor's or master's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
