For a strongly growing company active within machine building, with customers in production companies, ports and logistics centers, we are looking for a driven technician who loves variety, freedom and responsibility. From the Gent region, you will be part of a team of about 20 colleagues. It is a team where everyone knows each other, where involvement and technical expertise go hand in hand, and where you, as a technician, truly count. You will get the chance to deploy your technical skills broadly: at customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and occasionally elsewhere in Europe, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and optimization of sustainable packaging machines. As a specialist, you are very strong both electrically and mechanically and you also know how to hold your own in terms of fault detection and problem-solving.

What does the job entail?

• You install and commission packaging machines at customers, so that everything runs flawlessly from day one
• Troubleshooting and solving malfunctions, both electrical and mechanical, is part of your daily routine
• You are often on the road to customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and occasionally elsewhere in Europe, which variety gives you energy
• Maintenance and technical interventions you perform independently and systematically to prevent malfunctions
• When you are not on the road, you assist in the workshop for preparatory work or repairs and you take on weekend standby 4 times a year
• You enjoyed a technical education, preferably in the field of electromechanics or electricity
• A few years of experience under your belt within a similar technical field service role
• Very strong and possesses a basic knowledge of French and English to help you navigate smoothly with foreign customers
