Charterer (M/F)

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the agency management, you will take responsibility for developing and optimizing the chartering activity within your scope.

Your main responsibilities:

Management and Valorization of your portfolio: You will integrate and manage your existing client portfolio while capturing new volume opportunities.

Purchasing & Negotiation of services: You will search for, negotiate, and select the best transport solutions (full loads, part loads, regular or ad hoc) from your network of partner carriers.

Optimization of flows and margins: You will ensure compliance with the gross margin rate, the profitability of files, and the optimization of purchasing costs.

Operational follow-up and quality: You will ensure the smooth running of transports, from loading to delivery, and manage any contingencies in direct contact with your clients.

Loyalty and development of the subcontractor network: You will develop a lasting relationship of trust with your partner carriers.

Remuneration: From €45,000 gross/year (depending on profile and portfolio) + Benefits

Profile Description:

Experience: You have at least 3 to 5 years of successful experience in a similar position within a transport company or a freight forwarder and possess the dual expertise of national AND international chartering. In this context, a fluent level of English is indispensable.

Your asset: You have a client portfolio and/or a loyal network of carriers that you wish to grow within a solid and reactive structure.

Key skills: Mastery of road transport regulations (national and/or international), negotiation techniques, reactivity, and stress management.

Soft skills: Commercial temperament, sense of customer service, team spirit, and autonomy.
