Why join Scalian? You will join a high-value-added engineering environment and work on complex electronic equipment at the heart of aeronautical, space, and defense programs. You will evolve within a multidisciplinary team bringing together hardware, FPGA, ASIC, software, test, IVV, quality, and industrialization expertise, with strong possibilities for career advancement and the development of your technical expertise.

Toulouse | CDI | 5 to 10+ years of experience As part of the evolution of our Competence Center, you will join the Hardware team of the Electronics pole and work on the design and validation of complex electronic equipment integrating advanced digital architectures. You will participate in the development of solutions intended for highly constrained environments, particularly in the fields of space, aeronautics, and defense. Your role As a Hardware Architect / Digital Electronics, you are responsible for defining the hardware and functional architecture of equipment, from the expression of needs to qualification. You will specifically work on: The definition and analysis of the hardware and functional architecture of equipment; The analysis of technical needs and constraints and their translation into specifications and requirements; The definition of functions, interfaces, and performance of various sub-assemblies; The selection of key components: µC, µP, FPGA, SoC, ASIC, DDR memories, converters, high-speed interfaces, and fast serial links; The design of digital electronic boards and sub-assemblies, in collaboration with FPGA, ASIC, software, analog, power, routing, and test bench teams; The performance of simulations, sizing, and technical analyses, particularly on signal integrity, thermal, and EMC; The definition and implementation of test and validation strategies; The validation of functional, thermal, and EMC performance of equipment; Traceability and requirements management throughout the development cycle; Monitoring and management of technical facts; Contribution to the optimization of product manufacturability and testability; Coordination with various contributing professions and interfacing with project teams and clients, internal or external; Supporting the product throughout the V-cycle, from startup to qualification. Your technical environment You will work on digital electronic architectures integrating notably: µC | µP | FPGA | SoC | ASIC | DDR | High-speed interfaces | Fast serial links | Digital/analog conversion You may also work on issues of signal integrity, thermal, EMC, testability, and qualification. Specification and traceability tools used may notably include DOORS, Polarion, and Reqtify, as well as electronic CAD tools such as Zuken.

Your profile You are a graduate of an engineering school or hold a Master's degree (Bac+5) in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field and have significant experience in hardware architecture, digital electronics, or embedded systems, ideally in complex and highly constrained environments. You notably possess: A minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware/system architecture for complex digital solutions; Concrete experience in the design and validation of electronic boards or sub-assemblies; Good mastery of architectures integrating complex components: SoC, FPGA, ASIC, µP/µC, DDR, high-speed interfaces; Experience with digital embedded system development processes and the V-cycle; Good mastery of requirements management and traceability and configuration management; Experience in managing technical facts and coordinating multidisciplinary teams; The ability to work in interface with private or institutional clients; Good knowledge of aeronautical, space, or defense environments. Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (DO-160, DO-254, ABD, ESA, ARP 4754) is a real asset. Experience in the fields of radar or altimetry would be particularly appreciated. Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
