Project Engineer Electrical Engineering (w/m/d)

Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, with around 6,000 employees and an annual crude steel capacity of approximately 4.7 million tons, is the largest steel subsidiary of the Salzgitter Group.

For our Project and Environmental Management operational division within Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH, we are looking for a Project Engineer Electrical Engineering (w/m/d) at the earliest possible date.

• You are responsible for the proper preparation of tenders for our electrical engineering projects, taking into account defined project goals
• You participate in the selection of suitable external service providers as well as in award negotiations and subsequent contract design
• You control and monitor the consistent implementation of commissioned services during the project phase, accompany acceptances and commissioning, and carry out technical evaluations as well as approvals
• You participate in subject-specific and cross-functional internal working groups for the standardization and optimization of production, maintenance, and project execution processes
• You ensure compliance with and implementation of legal and internal company occupational safety regulations and are responsible for the instruction of internal employees (w/m/d) and external company employees (w/m/d)

• You have a completed engineering degree (Diplom or Master's) in the field of Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Energy Engineering
• You bring several years of professional experience in the overall content of project management for electrical engineering projects in industrial plant construction
• You have sound know-how in the area of procurement and contract law
• You are experienced in creating weakness analyses and in the optimization of processes and procedures
• You enjoy using digital tools and applications
• You are highly communicative and strong in presentation, which you can also demonstrate in English
• You have assertiveness, are a team player, work independently, and your approach is characterized by entrepreneurial thinking and action
