Junior Financial Controller

Aufgaben

The Junior Financial Controller is responsible for supporting financial reporting, budget monitoring, cost control, and financial performance analysis. The role ensures the accuracy of financial information, identifies variances, and provides meaningful financial insights to support management decision-making.

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and financial performance summaries.
• Analyze revenue, operating expenses, EBITDA, and net profit against budget and previous periods.
• Identify significant variances and provide clear explanations to management.
• Prepare financial dashboards and management reports.

1. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor departmental budgets and actual expenses.
• Review purchase requests against approved budgets.
• Identify unusual costs, overspending, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Support annual budgeting and financial forecasting.

1. Cash Flow & Financial Monitoring

• Prepare and update cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor cash balances, upcoming payments, and financial commitments.
• Assist with bank loan and debt repayment schedules.
• Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate financial information.

1. Internal Control & Financial Accuracy

• Review financial transactions and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Support internal control procedures and compliance with company policies.
• Assist in reviewing revenue reconciliation, payment records, and financial discrepancies.
• Identify potential financial risks and recommend improvements.

1. Management Support

• Prepare financial analysis and ad hoc reports requested by management.
• Support monthly financial performance reviews.
• Coordinate with department heads to clarify financial variances.
• Present financial information in a clear, practical, and understandable format.

Anforderungen

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
3. Good understanding of P&L, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow.
4. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
5. Experience using accounting software or ERP systems; knowledge of Express Accounting is an advantage.
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet reporting deadlines.
7. Good English communication skills, particularly for financial reporting.
8. Experience in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, or other service industries is an advantage.
