Bid Engineer to Veolia in Vellinge
Do you want to work in a future-oriented industry and at the same time have the opportunity to develop together with a company with great ambitions? With us at Veolia, you will become part of something more and larger than just a job – you will become part of a global network that wants to make a real difference for society and the environment.
Now we are looking for a Bid Engineer who wants to be part of driving our global sales forward!
As a Bid Engineer with us, you will get to combine technology, creative problem-solving, and business sense in a role where you yourself can take initiative, drive your tasks forward, and develop within both technology and business.
What does a Bid Engineer do with us?
We produce large filters for water treatment that we sell to both internal and external customers all over the world.
As a Bid Engineer with us, you have a central role in our business. You are responsible for preparing technical and commercial offers for our filter systems and driving the work from inquiry to finished offer. The work takes place in close cooperation with sales representatives, project managers, and the technical team, where you get to use both your technical competence and develop your understanding of the business.
You have contact with customers located all over the world and collaborate closely with our sales team and several internal departments. The role gives you a broad insight into how technology, sales, and manufacturing interact. You will have significant room to take your own initiatives, find solutions, and drive your tasks forward. Over time, there is an opportunity to take responsibility for more complex deals and broaden your role within the business.
Some of your tasks:
Prepare technical and commercial offers for customer projects
Calculate costs and ensure competitive solutions
Participate in customer dialogues together with the sales team
Drive follow-up of offers and projects
Collaborate with purchasing, design, and production
Contribute to the development of bidding processes and tools — including simple automation and digital solutions that increase the efficiency of the team's working methods
Support sales activities, for example customer visits, trade fairs, and CRM work
Who are you?
We are looking for you who is structured and meticulous and at the same time has the drive and will to make things happen. You take your own initiatives, thrive with responsibility, and find it easy to familiarize yourself with new issues. You are curious, communicative, and thrive in an international environment with many points of contact.
You have a genuine technical interest and like to understand how things work, find solutions, and translate ideas into practice. At the same time, you have an interest in the business and an ambition to develop further. You do not need to have the longest experience – we value your academic foundation, your commitment, and your will to learn and take responsibility.
For the right person, there are good opportunities to grow with the role, take greater responsibility, and in the long term develop further within the company.
We wish that you have:
Higher education or university education, preferably with a technical focus, for example in mechanical engineering, industrial economics, or other
Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements
A strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and understanding the customer's needs
Drive and ambition to develop within both technology and business
Ability to independently take initiative, prioritize, and drive your tasks forward
A natural interest in digital tools and efficiency — you thrive on finding smarter ways to work and can translate that into practice
Very good ability in speech and writing in English and preferably also Swedish. It is a merit if you have worked with international contacts and are used to communicating in English
Driver's license (B)
