The DFG-Graduiertenkolleg 3125 „Versöhnung und ihre Äquivalente im transkulturellen Vergleich“ aims to research concepts, strategies, and practices of conflict transformation from an interdisciplinary and transcultural, both synchronous and diachronic, comparative perspective. Your tasks:

  • Preparation of a dissertation in the subject area of the Graduiertenkolleg,
  • active participation on-site in the activities of the Graduiertenkolleg within the framework of the study and qualification program.

Your Qualifications

  • a university degree completed with above-average success (Master, Staatsexamen, or comparable), preferably in the subjects Ancient History, Anglistische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft, Didaktik der Geschichte, Geschichte der Frühen Neuzeit, (Historische) Friedens- und Konfliktforschung, Islamwissenschaften, Judaistik, Kunstgeschichte, Kritische Museums- und Heritagestudien, Neuere und Neueste Geschichte, Sozial- und Kulturanthropologie, Sozialwissenschaften, Rechtswissenschaft, Religionsphilosophie and Versöhnungsstudien,
  • interest in interdisciplinary work,
  • English language skills at least at level B2 (C1 if the dissertation is to be written in English),
  • ability to work in a team.
