Social Worker
The Financial Assistance Unit is part of the Individual and Family Care department within the Social Services administration. The unit consists of 20 dedicated and knowledgeable employees working with financial assistance with a focus on legal certainty, respect, and professional conduct.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role, and we offer various forms of support and benefits, including wellness hours, wellness grants, and supervision.
We are now looking for two new colleagues who want to become part of our team! We are offering two permanent positions with a start date by agreement.
Your duties
Your main task is to receive and process applications for financial assistance. You conduct investigations, make assessments, and make decisions in your cases. The work also involves social change work, where you, among other things, have a driving role in collaboration with other actors.
We have close cooperation with the municipality's labor market unit and also collaborate with Arbetsförmedlingen, primary care, psychiatry, and other relevant actors. The purpose is to find solutions together and provide the individual with the best possible support.
In meetings with the individual, you work to identify and strengthen the person's own resources and opportunities for independence.
Social services operations are facing changes in connection with new legislation. As a social worker, you will participate in developing and adapting our working methods based on the new conditions. You will have the opportunity to learn new things, contribute with your experiences, and participate in the change process.
At the unit, we also handle estate cases, which are managed by estate administrators. As a social worker, you can support the estate administrator in these cases if needed and have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with this area as well.
Who are you?
You have a degree in Social Work, or alternatively, another education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. A B-driver's license is a requirement for the position.
Previous experience with financial assistance is meritorious, as is experience in the exercise of public authority.
As a person, you are humble, patient, have a good manner, and find it easy to cooperate with others. You are structured in your work but can think flexibly when new solutions are needed. You like meeting people in different life situations, are fearless, and enjoy challenges. You find it easy to express yourself in speech and writing and have good knowledge of English.
Welcome with your application!
