Job Description

• You will participate in the creation and further development of a strategic reinsurance portfolio in passive and/or active Life reinsurance – always with a view to profit-oriented business management.
• Based on insurance-relevant data, you will analyze and interpret our portfolio: You will evaluate claims and inventory data, identify risks and profit opportunities, and derive recommendations for action.
• Together with your team, you will support the optimization of internal processes and workflows surrounding reinsurance, reporting, and interfaces – from data preparation to collaboration with specialist departments such as Actuarial, Accounting, or Product Development.
• You will assist in the preparation of complex quarterly and annual statements for reinsurance contracts and gain insights into technical insurance result and risk management.
• Additionally, you will work on the conceptual development of concrete reinsurance solutions – in close coordination with product development teams and other interfaces.

Qualifications

• A successfully completed degree in mathematics or economics – e.g., with a focus on Business, Finance, (Insurance) Mathematics – or a comparable qualification (e.g., University of Applied Sciences for Business/Finance, Academy, Insurance Specialist/Versicherungsfachwirt, or similar).
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Initial knowledge of accounting and risk management (e.g., HGB/IFRS, Solvency II) – or the willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with these topics.
• You possess good negotiation skills as well as enjoyment in communicating matters clearly and appropriately to the target group – both internally and externally.
• Ideally, initial points of contact with (passive and/or active) reinsurance or at least a great interest in familiarizing yourself with this specialized field.
• A structured and analytical way of working, a high willingness to learn, and the desire to take on responsibility in projects and daily business.

Additional Information

Working hours: Standard 38h week, time tracking system, flextime & lifetime working account.

Vacation: 30 days of vacation & additional non-working days (Dec 24th and Dec 31st).

Remuneration: 14 monthly salaries (incl. Christmas & vacation bonus) or participation in the variable remuneration system, special payments, employee tariffs & discount campaigns.
