About the Role
▼ Team/Organization Introduction
The Finance Team's mission is to support PayPay's services and business, which leads the code payment market, from a legal perspective, and to contribute to further business expansion from both offensive and defensive angles.
The current Legal Department is an organization mainly composed of individuals in their late 20s to mid-40s.
Within this, the Finance Team consists of 6 members, each acting as a professional leveraging their own strengths and backgrounds, while sharing information timely within the team to advance operations as a united team.
▼ Recruitment Background
To support even greater business growth of PayPay and the enrichment/accelerated promotion of its services, we are recruiting a member who will primarily be in charge of financial legal affairs to strengthen the structure for providing legal support from the conceptual stage of new businesses and services. Furthermore, you will also handle tasks in English, such as supporting the newly established subsidiary in the United States, with an eye toward global expansion.
▼ Specific Job Responsibilities
As a legal specialist in the payment/finance domain and a legal specialist supporting global expansion, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Legal review regarding new businesses/services (meetings with business departments, legal structuring reviews, contract reviews, etc.)
Research on financial regulations and industry regulations
Responding to legal consultations from business departments
Legal support related to the establishment and operation of the US subsidiary, and various English-language contract reviews and negotiations
Communication and business coordination using English with members of overseas locations and external experts

Required Experience/Skills
Those with 5 or more years of experience in any of the following:
Practical experience in the legal department of a company in the payment, finance, or IT industry
Experience handling corporate legal matters for payment, finance, or IT-related companies at a law firm
Business-level English proficiency (experience using English in practice, at a level capable of communicating with overseas locations)
Desired Experience/Skills
Practical experience in legal support during the launch of new businesses
Ability to perform tasks autonomously with a sense of speed
Lawyer qualification (Japanese law, US law, or others)

Hybrid Workstyle *You will be required to come to the office in accordance with the rules of your assigned organization and work instructions.
Working Hours
Super Flex system (no core time)
In principle: 9:00 AM – 5:45 PM (7 hours 45 minutes of actual work + 1 hour break)
Holidays
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end/New Year holidays, and company-designated days
Leave (Statutory Leave and Company Benefits)
Annual paid leave (14 days in the first year, granted pro-rata depending on the month of joining. Available from the date of joining)
Personal Leave (5 days granted every year / 3 or 5 days granted in the first year depending on the month of joining) *This is PayPay's unique special paid leave system, which can be used for illness/injury/accompanying medical appointments for yourself, family, pets, etc.
Salary
Annual salary system (includes part of fixed overtime pay)
Determined by company regulations based on experience, skills, performance, and contribution
Reviewed once a year
Overtime allowance, late-night work allowance, and remote work allowance (100,000 yen per year) are provided
*Regarding salary payment, a portion can be received via PayPay account (supports digital salary payment)
