Description

• Product Configuration Architect / Product Manager responsible for the product structure and model maintenance for the Large and Classic Engines platform
• Creation and processing of product structure objects, release and maintenance of the product structure in prototyping and series production
• Coordinating and controlling system responsibility for the product structure
• Use of historical and current documents and data for the checking, modification, and release of bills of materials at the assembly and system levels
• Implementation of development results into technical lists (e.g., bills of materials) taking into account the numbering system and product-specific characteristics at the system level
• Maintenance, coordination, and overall responsibility for complete engine models in cooperation with the departments responsible for components
• Analysis and evaluation of reports, customer orders, and program requirements to optimize existing products, assemblies, and definition of component and subsystem requirements
• Creation of schedules as well as, if necessary, representation and presentation of selected alternatives
• Initiation of measurements, testing, and functional tests at the system level and initiation of calculation and testing orders at the system level
• Carrying out concept studies in the design stage with regard to function, arrangement, design, and technical boundary conditions
• Evaluation and coordination of design solutions for new and existing products taking into account functional and economic aspects
• Support in cost and effort estimation
• Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams within the matrix structure
• Processing of specifications, implementation of requirements in the functional specification and in the Safety Management Plan
• Ensuring product compliance at the system level
• Communication with internal & external stakeholders, e.g., customers or suppliers
• Primary technical contact to support the Service and After-Sales departments

Requirements

• Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering (Diplom / Master / Bachelor)
• Engine knowledge in the areas of engine design, thermodynamics, combustion, control engineering including AGN systems including their interactions
• Knowledge of technical process flows and SAP-/PLM-Tools
• Structured and analytical way of working
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good written and spoken English skills
• High level of teamwork, confident appearance, and good communication skills
• Project management experience
• Proficient use of common Office products, PTC Windchill, PTC Creo, and SAP
