Join a project being implemented for Our client - one of the largest insurance companies in Poland. The goal of the project is the development and modernization of systems supporting key business processes. We are looking for a System Architect who will co-create the direction of architectural development and participate in the transformation of the existing monolithic solution towards a modern, scalable microservices architecture. In this position, you will combine architectural competencies with a practical approach to development, support development teams, co-create technical solutions, and have an influence on standards and technological development directions.

Daily tasks

  • Acting as a Tech Lead in a Scrum team (team support, technological direction, architectural decisions)
  • Active programming - implementing business requirements in Java technology
  • Designing and developing system and microservices architecture
  • Cooperation with the Product Owner and the business in refining requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Establishing technical standards (coding, architecture, integrations) and ensuring their compliance
  • Conducting code review and ensuring the quality of code and solutions
  • Mentoring and developing the competencies of the development team
  • Supporting the team in solving technical problems
  • Designing and supervising system and API integration
  • Ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of solutions
  • Participating in technological decisions and risk assessment
  • Utilizing the cloud (preferably Azure) in solutions
  • Utilizing Agentic AI / AI in the development process (automation, increasing productivity)

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building (web) systems Very good knowledge of Java and Spring - the role requires active coding. Experience in building microservices architectures and distributed systems. Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices, as well as API design and system integration. Practical knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design). Practical knowledge of relational databases (SQL, query optimization) Experience in Event-Driven Architecture and with Kafka. Experience in the area of end-to-end observability (Kibana, Grafana, ELK) Ability to lead a technical team, conduct code reviews, and provide mentoring. Experience in co-creating technological decisions and risk assessment. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of the English language (min. B2)

Nice to have: Basic knowledge of the cloud (Azure preferred) Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps Knowledge of Agentic AI/ AI in SDLC
