Your team

The vacuum team is responsible for providing support to all of MAX IV and its users. Tasks and responsibilities

As a member of the vacuum team, your main task is to provide the support within vacuum technology needed for MAX IV's accelerators and beamlines:

Install and test vacuum equipment for accelerators and beamlines according to applicable standards and the needs of the operation. Perform vacuum-related services such as cleaning components for vacuum use, pumping down, leak testing, bakeout, and similar tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve problems in the vacuum systems together with other members of the vacuum team. Conduct regular checks and monitoring of the vacuum systems in accelerators and beamlines. Maintain and repair vacuum components. Be responsible for ensuring that the stock of vacuum equipment for accelerators and beamlines is kept organized and ensuring access to spare parts when needed. Order equipment and components for stock and beamlines in collaboration with other members of the vacuum team. Actively participate in new projects and development initiatives. Provide proactive support to the beamlines to identify and meet future vacuum needs. Contribute to the planning and implementation of activities during the facility's shutdowns. Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility's vacuum cleaning equipment. Participate in the training of MAX IV's employees in the use and maintenance of vacuum equipment. Create, update, and maintain technical documentation as well as produce technical reports.

Qualifications

Technical education in mechanics, electronics, vacuum technology, or another relevant field. Experience with technical equipment or laboratory equipment. Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. You are proactive, flexible, result-oriented, and communicative. You have good collaborative skills, a service-oriented approach, and work in a structured and quality-conscious manner.
