The position is located at the Department of Human Geography and Economic Geography. You will work in the research project CATS (Beyond herding cats: integrating research on infrastructure transitions across project boundaries), which is funded by the Crafoort Foundation and runs from 2026–2027. Tasks and responsibilities

As a project assistant, you will coordinate the ongoing work in CATS and support the project leader and the research group. The tasks are partly administrative and partly research-related.

Administration and communication

  • plan and conduct workshops, seminars, and other events, including travel bookings and practical arrangements
  • update the website and social media as well as produce newsletters
  • assist with documentation for financial follow-up and reporting
  • ongoing project administration, such as meeting minutes, document management, and contacts with partners

Research support

  • literature searches and compilations of the state of research
  • collection, sorting, transcription, and documentation of data, such as interviews and documents
  • analysis of qualitative and/or quantitative material
  • contribute to reports, presentations, applications, and other texts

Qualifications

Requirements for the employment are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in social sciences or another area relevant to the employment, or are at the end of such an education.

  • You have experience in searching for and compiling literature and working with qualitative or quantitative material, for example from thesis work.
