Project description The project aims to investigate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in gram-negative bacteria. The focus is on identifying resistance mechanisms against clinically important antibiotics. Bacterial isolates are analyzed using microbiological and molecular biological methods. The results are used to map the occurrence and spread of antibiotic resistance. The goal is to contribute to improved diagnostics, treatment, and monitoring of resistant bacteria.

Tasks and responsibilities As a postdoc, you will conduct research focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), with a particular emphasis on gram-negative bacteria. You will work experimentally in the laboratory and be responsible for, among other things, the cultivation and characterization of bacterial isolates, as well as resistance determination and analysis of antibiotic susceptibility.

The tasks also include supervision of master's students, other students, and doctoral students in their research projects, including laboratory work, data analysis, and bioinformatics. You are expected to contribute actively to the research group's scientific development by initiating and developing new research questions, writing scientific publications, as well as writing and participating in national and international research applications.
