The Fertilizer Trader will be responsible for connecting strategy, sourcing, and commercial execution, acting as a key piece in business decision-making. The professional will have a central role in anticipating market movements, building supply strategies, and optimizing the portfolio, ensuring competitiveness, risk management, and value capture in the fertilizer chain. The position requires high analytical capacity combined with strong trading instinct, making the ability to make rapid and strategic decisions in highly volatile environments essential. Your role is essential to elevating the quality of commercial decisions and the business's risk discipline. Trading & Business Strategy Define and execute purchasing strategies (sourcing) aligned with portfolio positioning; Make trading decisions (position, timing, pricing) based on market reading; Identify opportunities for arbitrage, origination, and value capture; Act in the construction and execution of the business plan (volume, margin, risk); Actively participate in the desk's strategic decisions (long/short positioning, exposure). Market Intelligence & Market Analysis: Continuously monitor global and regional fertilizer markets (N, P, K), raw materials, energy, ocean freight, and logistical routes; Analyze supply and demand fundamentals, trade flows, production capacity, and inventory levels; Evaluate the impacts of geopolitical, regulatory, macroeconomic, and logistical factors on prices and availability; Develop prospective scenarios (short, mid, and long term) to support trading. Risk Management: Monitor exposure (position, price, credit, logistics); Define mitigation strategies (hedge, purchase/sale timing, diversification); Ensure adherence to risk and compliance policies; Balance risk x return in commercial decisions; Support regional and sourcing traders in defining prices, purchase/sale timing, and market positioning; Support the construction and review of the fertilizer platform's business plan. Market Planning & S&OP: Support Supply & Demand (S&D) analyses by product, origin, and region; Contribute to the planning of volumes, commercial windows, and inventory strategy; Work in an integrated manner with Planning, Logistics, and Commercial to align scenario and execution. Reports, Communication, and Stakeholders: Prepare structured market reports, dashboards, and analyses for management and internal committees; Support executive presentations, strategic materials, and decision forums.

Experience as a Trader or commercial professional in commodities; Mastery of price formation, contribution margins, and profitability analysis; Experience in negotiations, sales, and pricing. Mastery of Excel; Power BI, Python, or analytical tools are desirable; Understanding of global supply & demand dynamics.

Desirable experience in the fertilizer, chemical, or agricultural inputs market. Completed degree in Agronomy, Agronomic Engineering, and/or Economics and other related Engineering fields. Advanced English.
