Electrical Grid Technical Data Specialist (GIS/ADMS)

At Light, we are looking for an Electrical Grid Technical Data Specialist (GIS/ADMS) who will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the ADMS, ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of the electrical grid's technical data, contributing to operational excellence and the evolution of the company's systems.

Responsibilities and assignments

Your main challenges will be:

• Support the maintenance and evolution of the network model used by the ADMS;
• Validate electrical registration information, topology, connectivity, and grid assets;
• Perform data quality analyses, identifying inconsistencies and monitoring corrective actions;
• Support data mapping and processing for integration between corporate systems;
• Monitor data loading and validation processes, ensuring adherence to business rules;
• Consolidate technical information from different databases and company documentation;
• Prepare checklists, controls, and reports for monitoring data quality;
• Participate in tests, homologations, and validations before data availability in the operational environment;
• Act together with Engineering, Operation, Registration, Automation, SAP, and Technology areas in resolving inconsistencies and aligning processes;
• Document procedures, business rules, and definitions related to technical data governance.

Requirements and qualifications

Necessary requirements:

• Completed Higher Education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related areas with experience in the utilities segment;
• Knowledge of electrical energy distribution networks and their main equipment;
• Knowledge of electrical registration, single-line diagrams, topology, and network connectivity;
• Experience with electrical GIS systems or technical asset registration solutions;
• Experience in analysis, validation, and cleansing of technical data;
• Advanced Excel;
• Basic knowledge in databases and SQL queries;
• Ability to document processes, prepare reports, and manage pending items;
• Intermediate English for reading, writing, and conversation;
• Good communication for interaction with technical and technology areas.

It will be a differentiator to have:

• Experience in ADMS, OMS, DMS, SCADA, GIS projects, or technical systems integration;
• Knowledge of the CIM standard (IEC 61968 / IEC 61970);
• Experience with SAP PM, SAP MM, or asset management systems;
• Knowledge of Power BI, Python, FME, ArcGIS, QGIS, Smallworld, or similar tools;
• Experience with field inventory, data migration, and registration cleansing;
• Knowledge of regulatory processes in the electricity sector and data quality management;
• Postgraduate studies or complementary courses in electrical systems, geoprocessing, data, asset management, or digital transformation.
