Software Engineer for Crane Controls (m/f/d)
Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH manufactures high-quality tower cranes and mobile construction cranes. Fast assembly cranes, top slewing cranes, and mobile construction cranes are used successfully worldwide and stand for handling capacity and economic efficiency. Your tasks - What to expect
- Development of simulation models for the test environment
- Specification of tests for various test levels
- Development, implementation, and execution of tests for crane controls at the SW module, SW integration, and system integration levels (HiL and crane)
- Implementation of the software and hardware toolchain for test automation (Continuous Integration)
- Creation of test reports
- Support of the developer team in troubleshooting as well as tracking of error rectification
- Test management, including development of test plans and coordination in an international team
- Coordination of test execution on the crane with other departments
Your profile - What you bring with you
- Completed studies in engineering or natural sciences or a comparable course of study
- Experience in the modeling of electromechanical systems
- Relevant experience in the field of test automation and Continuous Integration (e.g., Jenkins)
- Experience in software development (C/ C++/ Python)
- Experience with HiL test benches (dSpace, NI) and corresponding tools
- Knowledge of sensor technology, control engineering, drive technology, CAN and/ or EtherCAT is an advantage
- Experience in relevant Requirements Management Tools such as RV&S, Reqtify or DOORS is an advantage
- ISTQB qualification is an advantage
- You are characterized by high quality awareness and high perseverance
- Good English skills in speaking and writing
- Willingness for occasional worldwide business trips
