The duties of a Front Desk customer service representative at Lapland Safaris' various locations begin in November 2026. We are now seeking employees for a recruitment pool to fill potentially vacant positions before the start of the winter season. We will interview selected applicants in September-October 2026, and recruitments may be made from the pool before the start of the season due to potential cancellations or additional needs. Our locations included in this recruitment pool for this role are Ylläs, Levi, Saariselkä, Luosto, and Rovaniemi.
A Front Desk – customer service representative is a true multi-tasker; in your role, you will serve our international and domestic customers. You will help our customers choose the service that suits them best, make bookings, and handle the process forward. The Front Desk service point also handles equipment rentals, the Safari Shop, and the pricing and merchandising of its products. Additionally, your tasks include cash register work and assisting customers at the start of their safaris. Front Desk customer service representatives work very closely with other teams, such as operational sales and production.
However, the work is not performed solely face-to-face at the customer service point; part of your work takes place in the back office working with various systems. We expect good IT skills and the ability to manage several systems. Various back-office tasks include, among others, making and managing bookings, responding to customer messages via email and telephone, and communicating with stakeholders. A large part of the work is done over the phone, so we require a readiness for customer service performed via telephone.
Responding to customer feedback and communicating on social media are also often part of the front desk job description, but the emphasis of the tasks varies by location and also within the season. The Front Desk also frequently assists the equipment team in distributing equipment to customers and helping customers get dressed.
Work is performed face-to-face at the safari house reception. Safari sales, as well as customer service performed via telephone and email, are part of the daily work. Equipment rental is also part of the job description. Work is performed in two shifts.

Lapland Safaris organizes paid orientation for new employees at the start of the employment.
The employment is a fixed-term contract in accordance with the collective agreement for the program services sector. Work begins in mid-November and lasts until the end of March. Salary is at least according to the Program Services sector TES salary scale difficulty group B-C, starting from 12.90 € / hour. We expect you to be ready to work also on weekends and public holidays. Accommodation is arranged in shared rooms at a reasonable rent compared to local price levels.
