Lapland Staff is looking for a versatile multi-role Front Desk Customer Service / Safari Guide for the Lapland Safaris Luosto location for the winter season 2026–2027.

In this position, you will work in customer service, performing safari sales, equipment rentals, and practical safari guide tasks. The role is suitable for a versatile professional who enjoys meeting people and varied workdays - both indoors and outdoors.

As a Front Desk Customer Service representative, you will work primarily at the safari lodge reception, serving customers face-to-face as well as via telephone and email. The work focuses heavily on face-to-face customer service; you will help customers choose the most suitable services and sell safaris and other experiences. You will manage bookings in several systems and be responsible for equipment rentals and the daily operations of the Safari Shop. The job also includes cash handling and assisting customers during safari departures.

The duties of a Safari Guide consist of preparing, executing, and cleaning/maintaining safari programs. You may act as a guide for, among other things, snowshoe safaris on fell tops, taking customers on visits to reindeer farms and husky kennels, and driving snowmobiles into snowy forests to watch the northern lights. A large part of the safari guide's work is also guiding various bus trips. A B-class driver's license is a necessity for the guide's work. Local area knowledge and experience driving a 9-seater vehicle in snowy conditions are considered advantages.

The work is varied and fast-paced, and a single workday may consist of several different tasks. Changes to the workday content are possible even on short notice, and work is performed occasionally in the evenings, in two shifts. In return, you get the opportunity to live and work in stunning Lapland landscapes and be part of an international, tight-knit work community where much happens during the season.

We expect from you:

  • Customer service and group management skills
  • A proactive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new things
  • A brisk attitude and excellent cooperation and communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent English skills; other languages, especially French, are considered an advantage.

We offer you:

  • An international work community
  • An easy way to come to Lapland to work
  • Numerous leisure activity opportunities
  • Top-notch team support and a varied job description
  • Lapland Hotels & Safaris' comprehensive employee benefits. You will receive benefits including equipment rentals, restaurants, and lift passes for Lapland Ski Resorts.

Lapland Safaris organizes paid orientation for the new employee at the start of the employment.

The employment is a fixed-term position in accordance with the collective agreement for the program services sector. Work begins in November 2026 and lasts approximately until the end of March 2027. Salary is at least according to the Program Services sector TES salary scale difficulty group B-C, starting from 12.50 €/hour. We expect you to be ready to work on weekends and public holidays. Accommodation is provided in shared rooms at a reasonable rent compared to local price levels.
