Analyst in the Purchasing Department

Because the wood-based materials industry focuses on continuous development and constantly implements new projects in the areas of production, logistics, and sales, our business is also expanding. Our goal is the further expansion and development of our real estate portfolio, which includes both residential and large industrial properties. The person in this position will analyze purchasing and material data from many plants, search for potential for standardization, centralization, and savings, develop automation of purchasing processes and the supply chain, and analyze markets and prevailing trends, supporting the purchasing team in making strategic decisions. An important element of the work is the development and management of a global material code database. Your scope of duties: Analysis and monitoring of the efficiency of purchasing processes. Analysis of data from ERP systems: identification of identical and interchangeable parts, candidates for code unification, and potential for standardization and consolidation of purchases. Working with databases. Preparing reports and summaries for the needs of the purchasing department. Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI).
We expect: Minimum 2 years of experience working with material data (master data) within purchasing, warehouse management, or maintenance. Higher education (preferred fields: mathematics, economics, logistics). Good knowledge of English – a necessary condition. Knowledge of analytical tools and MS Office programs (in particular Excel - working with large datasets). Highly developed analytical thinking skills and the ability to formulate conclusions based on conducted analyses. Openness to new ideas and changes. Responsibility, meticulousness, and goal orientation. Nice to have: Ability to read technical markings of parts (catalog numbers, dimensions, parameters, DIN/ISO standards) and basic technical knowledge in the field of mechanics, electricity, or automation. Knowledge of Power Query / Power BI, SQL, or Python. Experience in the industrial industry, maintenance, or spare parts management (MRO).
