The Port Services team specializes in offering advanced equipment, software, and maintenance solutions for the handling and lifting of port containers, optimizing operations in ports across the country.
We are looking for a Port Technician to join our electrical team in Valencia. As a Service Technician, you will be entrusted with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks for various port equipment and systems. Your role will be fundamental to ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operations. Your main responsibilities will include: Carrying out preventive maintenance tasks, performing updates, and executing repairs across our entire range of port cranes and other lifting machinery. Diagnosing and resolving equipment breakdowns with precision and efficiency. Managing on-site assemblies, which includes directing and coordinating the activities of the various project participants. Serving as a direct link with customers, our engineering department, and our parent company teams to ensure seamless operations. Organizing and directing team efforts to maximize productivity and safety. Identifying and reporting potential sales opportunities during service calls. Meticulously completing all required documentation. Executing repairs and updates of drive systems, and commissioning. This position requires a high level of technical competence, great problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment. Your role is crucial to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the maintenance and repair of port equipment.
Essential qualifications and requirements: Essential qualifications: Specialized training or equivalent in electromechanical disciplines. Extensive experience in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and commissioning. Exceptional ability to solve problems and troubleshoot breakdowns. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as necessary. Physical capacity to climb stairs and work at heights. Strong interpersonal skills for wide customer interaction. Valid driver's license. Unwavering commitment to safety protocols. Ability to understand and communicate in English; other languages will be valued. Availability to travel as required by the position. Desirable qualifications: Demonstrable experience in port crane assembly. Experience in vessel unloading with cranes. Please note: This position requires a high level of technical competence and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic port environment. Overtime will be compensated accordingly. Candidates must be prepared for the physical demands of the position, including working at heights and in various weather conditions.
