As Global Head of Operational Technology (OT), you will shape the future of our global production landscape. You are responsible for the strategic and organizational development of Operational Technology, process automation, and OT cybersecurity, establishing global standards and strengthening the resilience of our production systems. You lay the foundation for the next generation of production and enable the successful integration and scaling of AI-based solutions, Industrial IoT, autonomous process control, and Smart Manufacturing throughout the entire company.

You will support our team as

Global Head of Operational Technology (f/m/d)

Your tasks

• OT Strategy & Governance: You develop and implement a global OT strategy and introduce standards, guidelines, and governance structures for all production sites.
• Leadership & Organizational Development: You lead the Process Automation and Process Information teams both functionally and disciplinarily, and further develop global OT competencies.
• OT Cybersecurity: You are responsible for the further development of our OT security architecture and ensure regulatory requirements, especially IEC 62443 and NIS2.
• Automation & System Architecture: You manage and standardize our global automation systems, control technologies, networks, and industrial communication concepts.
• Production Systems: You are responsible for our MES and other production-related information systems to optimize our data-driven production processes.
• Risk Analysis: You coordinate OT risk assessments, audits, and reporting processes and derive sustainable protective measures.
• International Cooperation: You work closely with the Global IT, Engineering, and plant departments, as well as external partners, to successfully implement our global OT and digitalization initiatives.

Your profile

• Completed technical degree, e.g., automation technology, electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or comparable.
• Sound leadership and management experience in an international manufacturing chemical company.
• Experience with industrial OT systems and automation (based on Siemens technologies) such as PLC, DCS, SCADA, and MES.
• Knowledge in OT cybersecurity, vulnerability management, backup and recovery concepts, as well as network security.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards, norms, and regulatory requirements, especially IEC 62443, NIS2, and related security frameworks.
• Experience in global transformation and digitalization projects as well as in working with international, virtual teams.
• Clear communication at eye level, confident appearance, assertiveness, as well as business fluent English skills. German and/or French skills (ideally fluent) round off your profile.
