Senior Occupational Health and Safety Engineer / Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are now looking for a senior occupational health and safety engineer/occupational health and safety specialist for an exciting consulting assignment where you will work both strategically and operationally to develop and ensure a strong occupational health and safety and security culture. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute your specialist expertise in complex operational and project environments where occupational health and safety issues are a central part of the business.

The role as Senior Occupational Health and Safety Engineer / Occupational Health and Safety Specialist As a senior occupational health and safety engineer/occupational health and safety specialist, you will serve as an advisor and support to managers, project leaders, and the organization in matters concerning occupational health and safety, health, and security. You will work both strategically and operationally to develop, implement, and follow up on occupational health and safety processes and security initiatives.

Examples of tasks:

Drive and develop systematic occupational health and safety work

Conduct and support risk assessments, occupational health and safety rounds, and investigations of near-misses and accidents

Develop, implement, and follow up on occupational health and safety plans in projects

Support project leaders and managers in occupational health and safety and security matters

Identify and assess technical occupational health and safety risks, including electrical safety-related risks

Contribute to the development and implementation of security rules and security culture

Work with health-promoting and preventive measures within organizational and social occupational health and safety

Plan, conduct, and compile internal audits according to ISO 45001

Participate in or lead occupational health and safety projects and change initiatives

Collaborate with various stakeholders nationally and internationally

Who are you? We are looking for you who is an experienced and self-driven occupational health and safety specialist with a good ability to translate regulations and strategies into practical occupational health and safety work. You are analytical, communicative, and thrive in an advisory role where you collaborate with many different functions.

We see that you have:

University education in occupational health and safety or other equivalent relevant education

At least five (5) years of experience as a senior occupational health and safety engineer or occupational health and safety specialist

Several years of experience in qualified systematic occupational health and safety work

Experience of risk assessments, occupational health and safety rounds, action plans, as well as investigation of near-misses and accidents

Experience of supporting or working in project operations

Experience of developing and following up on occupational health and safety plans in a project environment

Experience of occupational health and safety work linked to technical risks and electrical safety

Experience of identifying and assessing risks linked to advanced technology, equipment, and chemical occupational health and safety risks

Experience of working with security culture and security rules such as Life Saving Rules or equivalent

Experience of health-promoting and preventive occupational health and safety work

Experience of occupational health and safety issues linked to electromagnetic radiation

Experience of internal audits according to ISO 45001

Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience of global occupational health and safety work as well as having led occupational health and safety projects and major implementation efforts is meritorious.

Good to know This is a consulting assignment starting on October 1, 2026, and the assignment runs until March 31, 2027. The assignment is located in Stockholm.
