PSSE SIMULATION ENGINEER

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and in the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to incorporate a PSSE Simulation Engineer for our FACTS —Flexible AC Transmission Systems— business unit.

Your mission will be to perform and analyze simulations of the different solutions of the FACTS Business Unit and you will be located in our Zamudio or Sarriguren facilities, developing the following functions: Analysis and performance of calculations and simulations with different electrical systems simulation SW: PSSE using existing models to respond to client and project needs. Experience with Power Factory will be positively valued.

Development of simulation models to comply with power electrical systems grid code requirements demanded by operators (NESO, NTS REE...) for FACTS equipment (SYNCON and STATCOM) with application in transmission and distribution networks.

Development of simulation models to dimension mainly power converters, synchronous machines, and transformers considering the application requirements.

Analysis and exploitation of the results obtained for the dimensioning of global solutions or the specification of components.

Generation of technical documentation with simulation results and conclusions for internal use or delivery to clients, as well as protection adjustment and limiter configuration.

Participate in the generation of new models and strategies to improve existing products or optimize ongoing designs.

Requirements:

University degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics, Renewable Energies

Postgraduate degree in Power Systems, Power Electronics, Renewable Energies, Automation, Electronics and industrial control…

Knowledge in electrical simulation SW: PSSE

Technical knowledge in electricity, power systems, electrical grid connection, power converters, synchronous machines

English Level B1

Will be valued: Previous experience in similar positions. Knowledge of programming languages: Matlab, Python, C.
