ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS SIMULATION ENGINEER

Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, is looking to incorporate a Technician for the performance and analysis of simulations for the different solutions of the Hydrogen Business Unit, located at our facilities in Zamudio, performing the following functions: Analysis and performance of calculations and simulations with different electrical systems simulation SW: Matlab Simulink, PSCAD, PSSE, and Power Factory using existing models to respond to client and project needs.

Development of simulation models to comply with the electrical grid requirements demanded by operators for electrolysis plants.

Development of simulation models to dimension mainly power converters and transformers considering the application requirements.

Analysis and exploitation of the results obtained for the dimensioning of global solutions or the specification of components.

Generation of technical documentation with simulation results and conclusions for internal use or delivery to clients.

Participate in the generation of new models and strategies to improve existing products or optimize ongoing designs.

Requirements University degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Postgraduate degree in Power Electronics, Renewable Energies, automation, electronics, and industrial control… Knowledge of electrical simulation SW: Matlab Simulink, PSCAD, or Power Factory Technical knowledge in power converters, electricity, electrical grid connection English Level B2 The following will be valued: Previous experience in similar positions. Knowledge of programming languages: Matlab, Python, C. Knowledge of electrical simulation SW: PSSE, PSIM… Experience in the energy sector Other languages The competencies required for the position are teamwork, analytical capacity, initiative, emotional management, results orientation, customer orientation, and motivation towards continuous improvement.
