Overlooking the Tarentaise valley at an altitude of 1850 m from the La Rosière resort, the Hôtel Alparena & Spa stands out as an essential warm and comfortable cocoon, recognized for its quality standards and the ultra-personalization of the services offered to its clients. The Hotel includes 58 luxurious and spacious rooms and suites with modern equipment, a spa of over 1000m², and 2 restaurants: l'Alpagio, a bistronomic table, and the Solario, a panoramic mountain brasserie. The position:
As Spa Manager, you are responsible for the wellness experience offered within the Alparena. You ensure the smooth daily operation of the spa, ensuring the quality of treatments, customer satisfaction, and the proper organization of the service. Within a small team, you are a present and operational manager on the ground, capable of participating both in treatments as well as in customer reception and activity organization. Your main missions: Management & organization
Supervise, support, and motivate a small seasonal team
Organize schedules optimally (treatments, reception, rest)
Integrate and train new recruits in the establishment's standards
Field operations
Participate in performing facial and body treatments if the teams need assistance
Provide support at reception, appointment booking, and customer management
Guarantee a daily field presence and manage activity peaks with composure
Customer experience & personalization
Guarantee an irreproachable experience at every stage of the customer treatment journey
Manage specific requests and VIP clients
Anticipate mountain-related expectations: after-ski recovery, hiking, relaxation, management of physical fatigue
Transform every dissatisfaction into a positive experience
Reservation management & software
Master and manage the Fresha software
Optimize the treatment schedule, availability, and cabin occupancy
Performance & commercial development
Monitor turnover and optimize the occupancy rate
Develop the sales of treatments and THALGO products
Implement suitable commercial actions (offers, packages, suggestions)
Quality & standards
Guarantee compliance with treatment protocols and consistent quality
Be the guarantor of cabin cleanliness, hygiene, setup, and ambiance
Maintain service excellence regardless of the crowd and intensity of activity
Stock management & logistics
Monitor product stocks (treatments & sales) and anticipate seasonal needs
Manage orders, linen, and equipment in coordination with management
Inter-departmental coordination
Work in connection with the different departments (reception, housekeeping, F&B, management?)
Fully integrate the spa into the overall hotel experience
Active contribution to the team atmosphere
Profile sought:
Training
Training in aesthetics / spa: CAP, BP, BTS or equivalent mandatory
Excellent mastery of facial and body treatment techniques, knowledge of THALGO products is a real plus
Experience
Professional references and/or letters of recommendation constitute an important criterion in the examination of applications
Significant experience in hotel spas
Experience in management and team supervision
Excellent mastery of quality standards and spa treatment protocols.
Particularly developed sense of customer service, with keen attention to detail and quality.
Languages
Professional English mandatory.
Mastery of a second foreign language is indispensable: Italian, Dutch, or German.
Soft skills & management
